The Borgo Sosio extra virgin olive oil is the very best that the countryside around Chiusa Sclafani and Contessa Entellina can offer. 

The hand-picked olives come from groves on the Colli Sicani, meticulously adhering to the protocol laid down for products bearing the Val di Mazara DOP label, as an expression of the favourable soil and climate.

The selected olives are grown in the areas around Chiusa Sclafani and Contessa Entellina and various hamlets, such as Carrubba di Caccia, Martusa, Alvanello and Stazzone.

The oil produced is a blend of various varieties of olives from places such as la Biancolilla and la Nocellara del Belice (80% by quantity), and Cerasuola and Giarraffa (20% by quantity), blended to achieve an oil with exclusive organoleptic (sensory) qualities.
